Stop Slots
Message Body:
I'm writing to you today to urge you to join me in voting no on the slot machines referendum.
Legalized slot machines will enshrine the right to gamble into our Constitution - and, that just goes too far. Slot machine gambling will lead to broken homes and and become a blight on our communities. Legalized slots will result in higher crime and increased gambling addiction while not providing a long term solution to Maryland’s budget crisis. Maryland can and should do better.
I hope you’ll visit Marylanders United to Stop Slots at www.marylandersunited.com - learn more about why the Washington Post, former Attorney General Joseph Curran, the New York Times and others agree that slot machine gambling is a bad idea for Maryland. And, I hope you'll join our campaign to stop slots!
Thanks - and, I hope to see you soon!
